Ammonia Energy continues to gain attention…

Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, the Secretary General of Hydrogen Europe, does a nice job of summarizing how and why ammonia is a viable alternative fuel both in support of the hydrogen economy as well as being used directly as an energy carrier.

Jorgo writes: “It will be an important task of the Clean Hydrogen Alliance soon to be launched together with the EU’s Hydrogen Strategy to envisage the development of the clean ammonia business as a hydrogen-based process and to include this into its activities. The Alliance is foreseen as a steering tool for the European recovery plan Next Generation EU.”

Global Green Ammonia Market Gaining Momentum

Natalie Kakish, an Ammonia Subject Matter Expert at Argus Media, published an article about the growing green ammonia opportunity. “As an energy source, ammonia has nine times the energy of lithium-ion batteries and is 1.8 times more energy-dense than liquid hydrogen, and ammonia is easier to transport than liquid hydrogen.” Check out the full article here: https://www.argusmedia.com/en/blog/2020/may/28/green-ammonia-opportunity-knocks
